THE SCOPE | Design and construct electrical system to autonomously and reliably control a critical mine ventilation fan.

The installation consists of three (3) Centrifugal 1350kW Upcast Surface Vent Fans ducted in a parallel configuration located over an exhaust vent shaft. Each fan is driven by a 24 pulse 3300V Variable Speed Drive. The control and operator interface is provided by a Rockwell ControlLogix PLC & Magelis iPC 15” touch screen HMI coupled with inputs from eld transmitters, mechanical interlocks and soft-interlocks for each vent fan.
