RJE's GRC Cladding
Glass Reinforced Concrete or GRC comprises of glass fibres embedded in a concrete medium. By incorporating these two components together, they retain both their physical & chemical characteristics, while also providing advantageous properties, that can’t be accomplished if the components were working alone. The glass fibres form the load bearing portion & are providing support to the composite, as the concrete is functioning to transfer the load between the fibres, while keeping them in place & shielded from external damage.
RJE utilitses this excellent & durable product as the external cladding on a number of different applications including our Switchroom/Substations, Transformer Kiosks, Blast Walls as well as being incorporated within our Operations & Maintenance Building, Detention & Correctional Facility & Donga designs.
