RJE have recently completed the construction and commissioning of the Mount Gellibrand Windfarm 132MW 66/33kV Substation and associated 33kV reticulation works. Special thanks to all of our teams that have been involved in this project.
RJE were recently in Canberra to address Senior Myanmar Government officials on the work we have undertaken in Myanmar plus present our plans for the future of our Myanmar operations. Many thanks to AustCham Myanmar and in particular Jodi Weedon and H.E U Tha Aung Nyun for facilitating this meeting and special thanks to H.E Kyaw Tin, H.E Thaung Tun and H.E Nicholas Coppel for their attendance and contributions. Here’s hoping this is the first of many such Bilateral Business Forums #rjemyanmar#rjeglobal #smarterengineering
RJE Global joined forces with APR to deliver 276MW to the South Australian Power Grid. The project was to install 9 GE TM2500 aero-derivative gas turbine platforms over 2 locations. This was an exciting project as our expert teams in fast power took charge of the Lonsdale and Edinburgh sites. With close to 100 employees engaged to carry out the project, this was completed in 52 days. The project was successfully delivered to our client on time, on budget and incident free. Special thanks to both teams and everyone who supported this project. As usual RJE went above and beyond to ensure a quality product was delivered.
RJE continuing our great work with helping the people in Myanmar with Fast Power solutions. Follow the link to read the Government write up about RJE’s Myanmar Works.
RJE have been engaged as principal contractor to install 4 x 30MW GE TM2500 Gen 8 Gas turbines at Lonsdale & 5 x 30MW GE TM2500 Gen 8 Gas turbines at Edinburgh to provide temporary power generation over the summer months to meet South Australia’s short fall. RJE are on site managing the turbine installation & alignment, turbine package stack out & the mechanical electrical balance of plant assembly & commissioning. We’ve got a great team of people leading this project and will achieve our objective by 1st November 2017. Thanks to all involved in this project for the great work carried out so far.
RJE have completed their latest Fast Power installation with the commissioning of another GE aero-derivative TM2500 Gen 8 30MW Gas Turbine Generator at the Thaketa Power Station, Yangon (Myanmar) for GE Power. The project engineering, fabrication & specialized services were performed by RJE Global, with the country installation managed by RJE’s Myanmar branch. The project has been a complete success and demonstrates RJE & GE’s ability to provide rapid power-system solutions with first-fire being achieved in record time!
First Fire at Thaketa Power Station, Yangon Myanmar was achieved at 9.33pm 10th July.
Fantastic achievement by all involved in such a short time schedule. We would like to thank everyone for their efforts and in particular to the GE/RJE teams at site.
The plan is for today is to first synchronise/achieve full load and achieve COD milestone.
The 2 new RJE supplied GE gensets & the relocated CAT gensets have been synchronised to the Chuuk Island power grid & load tested. The client’s representative will witness SAT (site acceptance testing) over the next week in preparation for a handover in mid May.
Our Nick Leach & Josh Smith have been on night shift providing operational support to the customer. Thanks guys!! Big thanks for the work put in on the project by Mitch Pace, Dylan Johns, Brett Ricketts, Sam White, Lea Pickett & the whole RJE team that has been in country for the duration of the project. Your efforts are always greatly appreciated!!
A huge milestone achieved on the Chuuk project this week, the new packaged generator units have been connected and commissioned and are now supplying power to the Island.
This is a massive achievement and a credit to the team involved on the project from the initial concept through to design, manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning. Well done.
