RJE were recently in Canberra to address Senior Myanmar Government officials on the work we have undertaken in Myanmar plus present our plans for the future of our Myanmar operations. RJE Global joined forces with APR to deliver 276MW to the South Australian Power Grid. The project was to install 9 GE TM2500 aero-derivative gas turbine platforms over 2 locations. This was an exciting project as our expert teams in fast power took charge of the Lonsdale and Edinburgh sites. With close to 100 employees engaged to carry out the project, this was completed in 52 days. The project was successfully delivered to our client on time, on budget and incident free. Special thanks to both teams and everyone who supported this project. As usual RJE went above and beyond to ensure a quality product was delivered.

Hume is a 58MW hydro power station located at Hume Dam, the second largest dam in NSW, on the Murray River upstream from Albury-Wodonga. It was commissioned in 1957 and comprises two 29MW turbines. RJE were engaged to replace the existing 1950’s 66KV switchyard that feeds into the Victorian electricity grid via Wodonga. RJE delivered 2 x pre-manufactured 66KV switching skid assemblies to minimise outage durations and streamline the brownfield installation process. The adjacent 132kV NSW feeder switchyard was maintained for generation during the outage which added to the numerous Brownfield site challenges. RJE’s diverse skilled network of employees all worked closely to deliver this project to minimise delays for the client and overcome some challenging Brownfield site obstacles.
RJE have been engaged as principal contractor to install 4 x 30MW GE TM2500 Gen 8 Gas turbines at Lonsdale & 5 x 30MW GE TM2500 Gen 8 Gas turbines at Edinburgh to provide temporary power generation over the summer months to meet South Australia’s short fall. RJE are on site managing the turbine installation & alignment, turbine package stack out & the mechanical electrical balance of plant assembly & commissioning. We’ve got a great team of people leading this project and will achieve our objective by 1st November 2017. Thanks to all involved in this project for the great work carried out so far.
RJE has completed the 33kV double circuit (OPGW & OHEW) overhead line at White Rock Windfarm which comprised a 1040 meter gully span. The line was suspended on free stranding monopoles. The pole design/ detailing, installation (including stringing and tensioning) & procurement was performed by RJE Global.
The foundations were made up of rock anchors, pads and a pedestal foundation design, which was constructed by RJE.

First Fire at Thaketa Power Station, Yangon Myanmar was achieved at 9.33pm 10th July.
Fantastic achievement by all involved in such a short time schedule. We would like to thank everyone for their efforts and in particular to the GE/RJE teams at site.
The plan is for today is to first synchronise/achieve full load and achieve COD milestone.
A huge milestone achieved on the Chuuk project this week, the new packaged generator units have been connected and commissioned and are now supplying power to the Island.
This is a massive achievement and a credit to the team involved on the project from the initial concept through to design, manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning. Well done.
White Rock switchroom has arrived safely on site today. Well done to all involved! The White Rock Wind Farm Project has been the first of its kind in New England Tablelands. The new electrical substation will be the main connection point of the Wind Farm to the Transgrid transmission network.
