Ben is responsible for Company success by facilitating engineering excellence within RJE’s multi-disciplinary engineering and design team.

 

Ben is responsible for Company success by facilitating engineering excellence within RJE’s multi-disciplinary engineering and design team. This team has proven capability in successfully delivering major projects covering mining and minerals, power generation/renewables and infrastructure.

With over 10 years’ experience in the Power Engineering sector, Ben also has a strong understanding of the technical and commercial drivers of network connection projects such as generation (renewable and conventional) and major loads. This extends to a comprehensive understanding of regulatory obligations for connection to the National Electricity Market.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical and Electronic (with Honours) 2006

Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) 2008

Member of Institute of Engineers Australia.

EXPERIENCE

Ben has proven expertise in design management, technical and commercial interface management, and implementing Systems Engineering principles to ensure project requirements are tracked and met.

Ben has a strong technical background and has managed the effective delivery of large critical infrastructure projects involving complex interfaces with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.

Through his 10+ years’ experience working on complex, high-value engineering projects, Ben is able to develop well-structured engineering management systems to guarantee consistency and quality of all technical outputs. This ensures that client requirements are met on all projects, with value added throughout the design process.

RELEVANT ROLES

Prior to joining RJE, Ben was responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams of engineers to deliver large electrical infrastructure projects ($20M+), with a focus on technical and commercial interface management. Major projects included connection of the Hornsdale Wind Farm to the transmission network, via design and construction of the 275kV Mt Lock Substation.
